Say Watt started as a simple app solution to see the spot price of electricity directly in your phone. The app was initially intended for personal use, but as interest in electricity consumption grew, so did our commitment to helping everyone get a better picture of how they can help influence their electricity consumption and developments in the electricity market.
We are two guys from Sweden with a background in app development and entrepreneurship. We are family men and our houses are always full of kids and friends. Teaching our kids and wives about electricity consumption and how much it costs felt like a daunting task. But through our app Say Watt, we thought they too could understand electricity and how to plan their consumption around the house better.
Getting an idea of how much it costs to shower for 10 minutes was a visual example we wanted to show in the app. Since the start, we have added another 26 devices to showcase average consumption in kWh around everyone’s house.
The app is now available in several countries across Europe and our goal is to give as many people as possible a chance to make an impact on their electricity consumption and make a difference for both the environment and their wallets.
